Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

We believe privacy isn’t a feature — it’s the baseline. This page explains exactly what data EZPost collects, why, and what we never touch.

Data we collect

When you create an EZPost account, we collect your email address and username. Your posts, drafts, categories, and media are stored in your own database — not ours.

We do not collect browsing history, device fingerprints, or usage telemetry. The only server-side logs are standard HTTP access logs with IP addresses for security purposes, retained for 30 days.

How we use it

Your account data is used to authenticate you and provide the service. Your content is used to power the publishing features you signed up for.

We never sell your data. We never serve ads. We never share your email with third parties.

AI & local processing

If you enable the AI Assistant, all AI requests are processed by your own Ollama instance — not by EZPost servers. Your prompts, drafts, and messages never leave your machine.

EZPost does not have access to your Ollama conversations. The connection is made directly between your browser and your local Ollama server.

Data retention

Your account data is retained until you delete your account. Your posts and content are deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

When you self-host EZPost, you control retention entirely. Delete the database, and the data is gone.

Your rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal data at any time from your account settings.

If you are self-hosting, all your data is on your server. You can export it, modify it, or delete it without any action from us.

To exercise any rights or report a privacy concern, contact us at the email associated with your account.

Cookies

EZPost uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is httpOnly, secure, and scoped to your domain.

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

Policy changes

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you via email or a prominent notice in the app.
